SO I'm watchin Grey's Anatomy.... and I see Denny. watch the next episode, I see Denny again. WTF???? He's dead. But yet, he's walking , talking, sleeping with Izzie, haunting SGH.... the list goes on and on. This is a tad bit ridiculous. Actually, no, it's just plain ridiculous.
Plus he's hanging around with this expression on all the time:

He looks like a puppy that's lost his way. This storyline is making Grey's into a joke, killing it, jumping the shark, whatever you want to call it. I had a lot of hope for this season but its all slowly disapearing. I just hope I can bear to continue watching until my beloved LOST comes back on in January. Denny's reappearance is making him and Izzies beautiful relationship from season 2 into something trite and silly. I don't like it.
Heroes, is also starting to suck. Private Practice, isn't really all that great either.
So thank god for, 30 rock, Samantha Who, Fringe, and 90210 (it's trash, I know)....

I hope that someone pulls out the crash cart soon to revive one of my beloved shows... because it's coding, we're way past your simple occurrence of Bradycardia.

I think I am however one of the few people who aren't outraged by Brooke Smith's firing. I wish Isaiah Washington hadn't opened up his mouth about it, actually I just wish he'd stop talking about ANYTHING in public. The Callie/Hahn thing was awkward. And it's not because it was homosexual. It was just awkward. They had chemistry I guess, but so did phoebe and Ross and you never saw them getting together. Hahn was just too much, too strong a personality, not really all that feminine, and Callie is exactly the opposite ( not to say that she's not a strong personality, but she's very very feminine). Who care's that they fired her. It's obviously not because she's a lesbian. The story line didn't go the way they wanted, that happens. Actors should be used to that. Her role became a lot larger than I ever thought it would back in season two in 17 seconds, and now its over.
People come and go, they work and they don't work. Sometimes their guest spots evolve into something larger (like Micheal Emmerson on LOST, His initial appearance was only going to be part of the arc, they weren't sure if he was going to be THE other, but it turns out he's awesome so they went from there).

Thats enough for today!

Holy Shit

So Tonights episode..... wow.
That's pretty much all I can say about it.

I cried through most of it, because let's face it... Last week, he risked his life to save Clare, and at the end of 4 x 09 he was threatening to kill Locke and Ben if they hurt so much as "one curly hair on his head." It's wonderful to see this transformation, it truly is.

And then there was this weeks episode, "Something Nice Back Home," and HOLY SHIT!! it was amazing.

FIrst off, I would typically define myself as a SKATER, but in all reality I'm a fan of whatever is best for the characters as far as the story goes. But this weeks episode was definitely one for the JATERS, and was quite interesting. FIrst off, as soon as Jack got out of bed and picked up those little orange panties, I had a feeling his lady friend would be Kate, it just had to be. NIce job trying to disguise Evangeline's voice by making it sound deeper while she was in the shower, although as soon as she started laughing, I knew for a fact it would be Kate and not some mystery woman behind those glass doors. And when Jack visited Hurley and got the message from Charlie, hot damn that was interesting, who exactly was supposed to raise Aaron? Maybe just Kate, or Clare? or perhaps none of the above. Seeing Jack begin to spiral down into alcoholism and drug addiction was quite interesting, especially given the circumstances. The end of the episode is heart breaking, after all this time Jack still doesn't trust Kate. Although who can really blame him with everything thats going on. The entire scene about Sawyer was just magnificent. After all this time he's still the one that separates Jack and Kate, and we all know that if it were reversed, Jack would be the one thing fucking up the other two's happiness. The thing that caught my attention was Kate's use of the word "him," in 4 x 04 we were lead to believe that Aaron is the "he" she was talking about in TTLG, but now I really do think it could have been Sawyer. Which leads me to ask the questions.... was that him that she was talking to on the phone? If not, who was it? and also, what the hell is the favor she's doing for him, and how did she contact him if he is indeed on the island, and not one of the oceanic 6. Crazy.

Anyhow thats all I've got today....

Can't wait to see how this all pans out.

There's no place like a funeral.

Thanks to Dark UFO for these tidbits...

these are from the filming of 4X12 "There's No Place Like Home," which is rumored to be a Clare-Centric epi.... The parking lot was staged with shiny BMWs and Mercedes (and a couple of black stretch limousines) with California plates. As an unusually large number of extras arrived, all dressed in black, it became clear they were there to film a funeral scene.

The actors were on the set soon enough. Jorge Garcia, Naveen Andrews, and Evangeline Lilly were tended to by wardrobe and make-up, along with another young female actress I didn’t recognize.

Other fans that had gathered speculated that the funeral was for Claire, but I spotted by chance a large portrait being carried into the church. A staid older gentleman with gray hair was depicted. Can't say for sure, but my mind flashed instantly to Christian Shephard.

The exterior scene involved Sayid and Kate standing outside the church as mourners filed in. A limo arrives, and Hurley exits along with the aforementioned young woman. And the woman, not Kate, is the one carrying the baby. The group hugs and talks briefly at the top of the stairs before heading inside. Though it looked like a flash forward involving many of the "Oceanic Six" (walkie chatter suggested Matthew Fox was en route), there was no flock of press.

Frankly I was more intrigued by Hurley's companion than the identity of the person being laid to rest. And were they bringing Aaron, or another baby entirely? A friend I saw there said the woman bore a slight resemblance to Marguerite Moreau, a.k.a. Hurley's crush Starla. But I admit that could just be wishful thinking on my part!

April showers bring may flowers...

or however the saying goes.
SO April is half way over, and I've started to realize just how MUCH I have to do before the semesters end, and how LITTLE time I actually have left.

Damn.

Anyhow, it's been a while my bloggerites, but I'm back and plan on paying much more attention to this page.

First things first.....

DARLTON:

So in t-minus 9 days LOST will be back on, as well as Grey's Anatomy. I'm excited, super excited. Especially since the lovely Steve McPherson gave the OK for another episode of LOST, making their second run have a total of 6 instead of five episodes, bringing the entire season to fourteen instead of the initially planned sixteen episodes. Thank You AMPTP for prolonging the strike forever!!

And I digress,

Anyhow, it appears as though Claire is on the outs... And rumor has it Sawyer, Jin, and Locke seem to be ok for now. Thank god!

I've embedded the promo for 4x9 "The Shape of Things to Come," take a look:

It looks bad ass!!!! So the barracks apparently are going to explode, thats exciting. I guess they wont be visiting the YMCA to film anymore. Thats a shame, cause I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the LOSTIES livin' large dharma style.

I have to admit, my favorite Dharma item has to be the boxed wine:

.

That's about all I've got for now...

Shitty movies

SO, I'm home for spring break, and I've got some down time........so i've been watching a ridiculous amount of movies.
And now at 230 A.m the one I am currently watching has given me the inspiration to blog....

The name of the movie is Nancy Drew, and boy does it suck, but manages to harbor some addicting qualities that wont let me turn it off.

First things first, what the fuck is up with a 16 year old knowing how to do a tracheotomy and performing one in the middle of her bumping birthday party (which I should mention was so big and bumping that the cops were called, but too PG for there to be any realistic alcohol consumption....).

And second... her dad refers to her sleuthing like its a fucking drug habit. I love damon and carlton.....

This season of LOST has been wonderful, and it just keeps on getting better. Last week, Kate's episode, Egg town, although the trial was a little iffy as far as credibility goes... was bad ass!!! How did Kate get Aaron, why is Jack so awkward? When is he going to start growing that damn beard? And please tell me even if there is some JATE in the future, that SKATE isn't over...

Moving on... this week's episode, "The Constant" had perhaps one of the most beautifully romantic endings ever. The Penny/Desmond phone call.... *sigh*... can't even put it into words....

It definitely goes on the list of moments that I've cried during LOST... making it the fourth time.

The others being, Boone's death, Charlie's Death, and Rose and Bernard's reunion...

Anyhow, I'm suffering from a raging case of writers block :(

AND i should be asleep

NYC!

So I've been in NYC since last thursday, and am loving it. Being here without it having any family trip type situations has really opened my eyes to this lovely city. I mean, I've always loved this city, but have never experienced it like I have on this trip, being a legit "adult." I've really started to think about going to grad school here instead of L.A, I'm going to end up there eventually anyway, so I might as well try the whole east coast thing, right?
Anyhow, the first night we were here I managed to talk everyone into going to see the midnight showing of CLoverfield, awesome, right? Yea it should have been, But the two bottles of whisky we drank before the show, only to enter with a handful of 20-something ounce Coors, definitely lead to me not remembering a large part of the fucking movie. Which sucks, I'm going to need to see it again.

As far as movie going goes from this trip... 'There will be blood' kicks 'No Country For Old Men's ass.. for real.

Anyhow, we've been meeting at the Pioneer theater everyday this week (over on third st. and Ave A.) and have met a shit ton of really impressive individuals. Two of which definitely made me sure this industry (well TV) is something I want/need to pursue, and the passion and truth they displayed in our meetings were like a breath of fresh air.

Only a few days left here, which is sad. But damn, it's been an amazing trip.

And I digress... I found the oceanic/find815 billboard, definitely made the trip. And the fact that a LOST promo plays every five or so minutes in times square is awesome!!!

About LOST, the premiere is now so close!!! And I'm getting more and more excited. The number of sneak peeks ABC has put out seem kind of silly to me. Five minute and a half clips of important scenes pretty much make up a considerable portion of the episode. Although I guess that really doesn't matter, since I'm going to watch and enjoy it regardless of how many sneak peeks they release.

That's all for now!

Fate? Which whatever our ships may be, that's what we'd really want, right? Because the show is soooo much more than just their "relationships" that for the most part haven't been explored to that great an extent (with both ships)....

Having Kate go back and forth so shamelessly takes away from her character, and definitely does not portray the strong willed woman she really is…. I love Sawyer and Kate together, so I guess I could be classified as a skater. But what I love about them is that he is the most natural option. They just fit, they are the same and from the beginning they saw through the masks and walls their pasts lead them to put up. There was a connection for sure, and it seemed almost wrong at first, but when they started to play into it more people started to like the idea. Plus, Evangeline and Josh have a beautiful chemistry, and they way it transfers on-screen is thrilling to watch and see develop. Starting as early as Tabula Rasa, we started to see that Sawyer spoke to Kate in a different way than he did the others, and acted differently around her.

I’ve been re-watching the series, and to be fare there are a bunch of Jate moments season one that are kind of cute, and made me smile.

Yea, I’d like to see Kate end up with Sawyer; because I love both characters, and I think they deserve the happiness/peace their feelings bring out. But if they didn’t end up together because it didn’t work into the better bigger picture (even if that were to involve Jack) that’s what I would want… Beacause it’s the story as a whole that’s why I watch. And keeping it natural, even at the expense of Skate… I’d want that ending.

But, will they end up together?… I don’t think that we’ll get a true answer to this triangle until 2010… ross and Rachel style. It wouldn’t be as interesting if we didn’t have to wait. Point A and Point B aren’t what intrigues us all… it’s everything that happens in between to take them there.

The thing that I question about Episode 4 and kate/sawyer/jack… is that I imagine her trial would take place before the FF in TTLG…. So clearly things have deteriorated since then…and we clearly know the ‘he’ isn’t sawyer… all these things are fun and I can’t wait to watch. The idea of adding to Kate’s story to include some surprising and monumental details would be awesome. Being the lead female of the show I think she needs to be given a greater purpose/story, and I’d love to see Evangeline play with that arc… I like the Annie idea, that would totally be a WTF moment, but something tells me with TPTB having the rest of the series mapped out… these reveals are going to be mostly outside the realm of our guessing…

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://baproductions.blogspot.com/2008/01/fate-bigger-picture.html' title='Fate? Damn... I always do. Not to mention the fact that my class is at 9:30... which on that note is pretty bad ass. Our schedule right now is a little taxing we meet in the morning watch a movie take a lunch break, come back, watch another movie, discuss, then watch a third movie... But the time does pass really quickly, which is nice. The best part is that in New York we have a shit ton of free time, all morning and most of the after noon, the we should be done before ten. Awesome. If the strikes still in full force next week, which sadly I'm sure it will be; I'm gonna picket. And I'm stoked. I really would love to see a taping of Conan O'Brian, but I can't bring myself to cross the line. Sad day.
Anyhow, I got another tattoo.. It's this.....

But it's in black-light ink on the back of my neck, which in case you were wondering, is quite painful. The guy at the shop told me that in comparison to my wrist where I have three other small tattoos, it would be nothin'.

What a bold faced lie, it hurt like a bitch. Nothing my superhuman pain tolerance couldn't handle but it was strange. You know that tingly release you get after you sneeze? It was a constant feeling like that (which was nice), but mixed with a lot of pain :(. Anyhow, I love it and can't wait to see it under the black-light in full force after it heals.

I tried to explain to my friend who thought it was just done due to my LOST obsession.... but that doesn't even begin to explain it....

I'll be back to finish this incomplete thought later :)

This Is The New Year.

It's 2008... wooooohoooo.

And now that I've finally recovered from my New Years Eve induced hangover I decided I should reappear and start the new year off right, even if it is almost five days in now. For starters, I'd just like to let all you who were worried about my health during this absence that I am fine (and by all of you, I mean none of you. Because lets be honest. The only person who reads this, is me... And the occasional friend I force to listen to my witty comments after I laugh aloud typing them). The long term affects of my last night of 2007 have yet to be determined, but if my motor skills and other normal functions begin to deteriorate to an alarming low I'm sure you'll notice.

So again I say, it's 2008. Who the fuck cares... In my mind New Years Eve is pretty much the high point of most years, and New Years day is usually the suckiest... Not counting days such as Valentines Day (if you're alone), Columbus Day (If you're a Native American), and "Random drug/alcohol test day from your parole officer," if you're Bobby Brown.

Anyhow this so-called 2008 has taught me a few things, however inane they may seem:

1) When consuming Fruity Pebbles, the milk to cereal ratio must be seriously readjusted. Now, I'm no mathematician but I think it is probably safe to safe the proportions should be around 3/5 of Bedrock's best to 2/5 Milk.

2) Make a New Year's resolution you can keep: Like mine, don't drive the wrong way down the freeway drunk. So far, so good.

3) The third final thing I've learned so far is that I need to start looking into a 12 step program for Mac addicts...

4) Fourth and Finally... I learned the AMPTP sucks. but then again, I knew that last year.

Enough about the new year.... It is now January fifth, and you know what that means..... (and yes I do mean more than the numerical value, or any other completely legitimate observations you might have.).... It means that there are Twenty Six Days until season four of LOST premieres. And hot damn! That's exciting... Only 3 plus weeks, or to be a little more precise... about 36, 840 minutes until the premiere. Which to me the first thing I noticed about the number where the two digits, 8 and 4....and what significance they may have. But then I remembered that was just me overanalyzing every tiny detail of any given thing in order to determine whether or not it has greater meaning in the whole scheme of things... and as it turns... that is is a great mind exercise to prepare my brain to re-enter the world of LOST on January 31st.

Anyhow, I'm trying not to read spoilers. I never really want to know the answers they will reveal ahead of time. But like a moth to a flame, I'm the spoiler worlds pathetic little bitch...

On one final note before I go...

Everyone should look into the series of essays called "Why we write" and they're pretty bad ass. www.whywewrite.wordpress.com

Next time...I'll talk more about lost... and that damn Find815 game that I love.

Searching for the real thing.

Out at a ranch last night, about 5 or 6 a.m... I was sitting around the camp fire with one of my good friends... and we started to talk about life...and what real things make us truly happy, even if its just for a second. There are a few things... my guitar.. some friends of mine....and tv bullshit. It's not as pathetic as it sounds, I swear, it truly captivates me. And one day, I hope some kid is sitting on their computer watching previews on you tube for one of my shows, and gets the same happiness out of it that I have for the shows I hold dear to my heart. My dream would be complete if just one person thought of me in the same light I think folks like Marti Noxon, Joss Whedon, Carlton Cuse, and Damon Lindelof, you know, to name a few.

Anyhow... a short while ago I came across this new trailer....and I'm going crazy. I can't wait for the new season... Although I'm starting to have paranoia over the thought that maybe one day Sawyer might die. I don't have much reason to think he would, but...... I'm borderline committable with the line of thought im processing currently...

Anyhow, here's the video...

And, just a quick question.... at 1:01... is that Christian Sheperd? and also, if he's on the

island (well of course he's technically on the island) and alive....Are Claire and Jack gonna

find out their related? Like a fool. Came across an interesting/confusing/potentially heartbreaking tidbit...... So there's this term, The Oceanic 6. Which apparently refers to the 6 people that make it off the island ad become quazi-famous.... I shouldn't have looked at the answer....but of course I did ( I have the self control of a fucking kitten). Anyhow, So the six apparently are Kate, Jack (no surprise there), Sayid, Hurley, Sun and Jin..... WTF? what about SAWYER!! this sort of kills the theory that Sawyer is the guy in Kate's future when she says "He'll be waiting for me."
And that hurts my heart... Although the hopeful side of me thinks that Damon and Carlton wouldn't spill such important info....I pray that this isn't the complete truth. Although this could just mean that the other people get off in a different way... again I hope.

Also apparently there are going to be two teams come season four.. Team Locke, and Team Jack...and sawyer is aligned with Locke... and Kate's allegiance will be suprising....I don't get it... We've gotten info that she will go somewhere that sawyer wont agree with, although he doesn't voice it, she knows it.... although putting these two things together...it would be the most obvious for her to join Team Jack, cause she's always leaving Sawyer... but that wouldn't be suprising.... What would be oddly surprising would for her to join Team Locke...

Something tells me these next few years are going to go by ridculously quickly while episodes are airing, and ridiculously slowly during the painfully long hiatus.

That's all for now.

You Know What They Say?....

... Procrastination is like masturbation, in the end you're just fucking yourself....
The holiday season is here, and xmas is just around the corner (or Hanukkah, Kwanza, or whatever) children are anxiously awaiting christmas morning to unwrap their presents and celebrate this blessed (consumer driven) holiday... There's laughter, and people spreading cheer........ But before many of us can enjoy The holiday season, we get Finals! yay!..... a season ridden with amphetimine popping, sleep deprevation, tears, and insanity....just doesn't have the same ring does it? Didn't think so...

So in true college fashion, I've been awake for 36 hours, and am about to continue my studying...but not before I do every other possible thing that could prolong my procrastination... I've reorganized my dvd's, divided all my notes, calculated all my grades (i.e what I need to get on these finals to assure a happy holiday season at home), spent time facebooking, youtubing, widgetting (you mac users out there should understand this new verb)....anything to avoid studying. So now I'm blogging....Not that its my last choice, but I now have something meaningful to say......well whether or not it's meaningful is probably debatable, but I have something to say.......But I just forgot what it was....damnitt.

Oh no I didn't... last night, while procrastinating, I spent a good 3 hours on youtube and google video making sure I did everything in my power to see every single promo for the new season of lost, over and over and over again.... It wasn't a total waste of time, the emotional satisfaction of recieving even the tiniest look into season four is well worth the loss of valuable studying and sleeping (who am I kidding...) hours.

There's one of the better ones... There are a handful of official promo's out there...and boy am I getting excited.... Of course there's only one thing that has the power to kill my excitement.... and that thing my friends (not that anyone reads this)..... is the AMPTP, yup the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers..... or as I like to call them. Selfish Asshole Media conglomerates Fucking up my Precious Television routine by refusing to Pay those who deserve credit for their work.... hey look at that I got all the letters in there, and my title seems more fitting... however selfish some of its concerns may be. Anyhow....the strike? yea, that sucks...

But what sucks even more is the possibility of getting left with a cliffhanger after the 8th filmed episode of LOST airs.... I believe Damon Lindelof said it would be just as shocking as season two's episode 'Two for the Road" when Michael shot Ana Lucia and Libby.... I mean I love surprises and cliff hangers but fuck man.........I will have an aneurism if something ridiculously and unrealistically yet amazingly 'Lost-ish' happens.... and you men in the high castle of the AMPTP..... That blood is on your hands.

Anyhow.... I began re-watching season one today.. and there's just something about Kate in that first scene with Jack that rubs me the wrong way, it seems so out of character how feeble she is.... I believe the line that irked me was "I would have run out of the room" in reference to Jacks "panty dropping" story about fear and the girl whose nerves were going all over the place.... Even later in the episode she starts to show qualities of the Kate we know, even while on the plane...its just that one scene that gets me every time... perhaps I shouldn't be paying this much attention to this, and perhaps paying some attention to my Tv Crit paper... but I just had to write it down somewhere.

Also on an unrelated note.... I bought the old WB series 'Popular' on dvd, both seasons. Granted it was from a personal seller on amazon so "the man's" not getting any money from me... i digress.... wow. That show was god awful! watching it almost a decade later. damn... but the sad fact of the matter is... even though its tacky and cheesy and crappy... it's still oddly addicting.... There might be some of that "Josie and the Pussycat" movie subliminal message shit going on... cause while watching I did get the certain urge to buy stock in warner brothers.... but who knows...

Enough Procrastination for now...

BA

WiFi

You know, as I sit in my english class keeping two tabs open....... JustJared.com and the book I was supposed to read for class today; I'm really thinking WiFi in the classroom isn't such a good idea. Not that I don't appreciate it... But the ability to facebook is something I can never ever ignore. Which probably states something about me (and really my generation as a whole). And now class is over, and this blog opportunity is over......
I'll continue shortly when I enter MACDOM.

And I'm back, this new computer is addicting, and sooo pretty. It's like my child. I've named it (McMac), I take it everywhere, I take care of its hygiene before mine, and I talk to it in a low/calming voice...call me crazy, but I recomend everyone invest.

On another note, everyone should watch the South Park Episode 'With Apologies to Jesse Jackson' it's funny in the classic politically incorrect way the show always provides us with....it's jillarious.

Stupid Itunes

So I wanted to download more guilt ridden residual free episodes of television from itunes, and of course the show I need to catch up on isn't on there. Awesome.
Why wouldn't they have private practice? it makes no sense; and I'm in no way pleased. So instead I bought an episode of South Park, equally as enjoyable; just not the same.

Anyhow, I must say I miss the luxury of a thousand cable channels being at home. Here in shitty Sherman where I attend school, we get cable, sure. Even fancy digital cable with DVR (not in the dorms of course) but still most people don't have E!. And that's just ludicrous, I miss my daily dose of inane celebrity factoids. But, what I miss most of all is my vital screenings of Chelsea Lately. Ugh, it makes me sad just thinking about all the wit I'm missing out on. I really want to write her a letter/email/stalk her via phone, and try to get her to give my sorority one of her seminars.... That would be pretty cool.

Maybe I'll be able to sleep now.

Can't sleep.

So, I'm tired. Exhausted even. Yet somehow I'm still awake, and probably will be for a loooonnng time.
So to keep busy, I've downloaded all the Samantha Who? episodes from itunes. Which honestly makes me feel like a huge asshole. I've been reading (and you-tubing, of course) about the writers strike. As someone who wants to go into that industry, and more specifically write in it.... I feel rather strongly about the rights of the individuals that create the work millions watch every hour of every day. I bought a t-shirt, and some bracelets, and even sent out a couple dozen pencils on the WGA's behalf. Which, ya know? isn't half as lame as it might seem to a lot of you people.

Any how, the show (Samantha Who?) is hilarious. Christina Appelgate delivers as usual and her supporting cast is superb.

This leads me to my next thought... I fucking miss LOST, I need february to roll around stat; because at this rate I'm starting to suffer from the hard core withdrawal symptoms most people associate with drug addicts. The shakes, sweating, vomiting, mild hallucinations.....It's terrible, and not only that... it reminds me of the show's first season when Charlie was going through heroin withdrawal.... Seriously, I have a problem.

On another note, Grey's Anatomy's Thanksgiving episode was phenomenal and definitely the best this season. Not to say I haven't enjoyed it before then, the return to a lighter, more humorous tone is much appreciated; but, last weeks episode was crazy good. And featured Seth Green as a guest star, I love that guy.

I quit smoking, yay! as of 3:34 this morning, so I haven't had a cigarette in two waking hours, which is quite a feat.

I think this is enough..... And I think I'm gonna like this "Blogging thing."

Sweet.

Until Next Time....which may be sooner than one might think.....

BA
